Please Join Us At The Opening Of The New Gifford Pinchot National Forest Headquarters

Built in 1905, this grand old structure, which once served as home and later office space for our soldiers, is now beginning its newest chapter as the headquarters for Gifford Pinchot National Forest.

Please join us to see this extraordinary building and take a tour to learn about its past and its new beginning. This structure has always served the public and it will continue to do so. I am honored to have worked closely with other National Park Service employees and US Forest Service employees to make this project a reality. The dream behind this project, however, was always much more than just building space for the headquarters and the dispatch center. It was about synergy and serving the public in newer, more efficient and effective ways.

Together, working side by side in this national park, the National Park Service and the US Forest Service will better serve the public through our joint Visitor Center, educational offerings, public events, and other programming opportunities.
