Playing hits from all eras from “Staying Alive” by the Bee Gees to “Dynamite” by Taio Cruz, Hit Machine is a mainstay in the Portland metro area. The band has headlined Hood to Coast, Independence Day at Fort Vancouver, and many Portland Trailblazers games.

Named after the 1943 hit song by Louis Jordan, Five Guys Named Moe began as a 5-piece band in 1984. Over the past 30 years, the group has grown into a slammin’ 12-piece show band including a 5-piece horn section, back-up vocalists and as many as six lead singers in a night!

Bring your family and friends down to Esther Short Park, put down a picnic blanket and some lawn chairs and enjoy. Enjoy food provided by a variety of local vendors or bring your own pre-prepared food (BBQs are not allowed at Esther Short Park). Alcohol is not allowed except for in the fenced Pub in the Park area (see below).

Concerts take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Parking is available at the Vancouvercenter garage at 601 Columbia St.

Beer and wine will be available for purchase at these events in a fenced beer garden. Reserve your VIP table by calling 360-567-1085 or email director@leadershipclarkcounty.com. VIPs receive a catered dinner from Main Event Sports Grill along with beer/wine vouchers. Proceeds support Leadership Clark County, a local nonprofit group promoting civic leadership.

Inspired by Talking Heads and the epic 1984 concert film, Stop Making Sense, Life During Wartime began performing as a 7-piece lineup. The band performs Stop Making Sense, Talking Heads discography, and their own original materials in venues around the country.
