Along with all Oregon soldiers, the 41st Infantry, formed in 1917 by Major General A. White, will be recognized and celebrated for their dedication and commitment to serve and defend our country. They were the first and largest deployment into the Pacific during World War II. |

Along with all women who served on the WWII home front, Rosie the Riveters will be honored at their new ‘living memorial Rosie Rose Garden.’ ‘Rosie’ blooms frame the 33 ft obelisk and black granite wall that inscribes 4000 Oregonians who made the ultimate sacrifice, 1941-1945.
