Brief info
Launie is a Vancouver native who graduated from Hudson’s Bay HS and Clark College with an AA-Business, and attended Portland State University.
Her Army career included varied assignments specializing in personnel and physical security, training and operations, and manpower and force structure before concluding her career as the 104th Division Command Executive Officer. She retired as an Army Chief Warrant Officer Three in 2001.
In her subsequent Federal Department of Energy career with Bonneville Power Administration she specialized in hiring and recruiting, job classification, employee staffing, and business analysis. Her final assignment prior to Federal retirement in 2013 she served as the Manager for Human Capital Management Internal Operations.
In retirement, she has put her time toward local volunteer activities: In addition to CMAC operations, she is an active member of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). She also stays active with the 104th Division Timberwolf Alumni, coordinating legacy projects and annual alumni reunions.
She is an avid gardener with a passion for sustainable native habitat.
