2018 Sweetheart Hangar Dance
The Friends of the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site’s annual Sweetheart Hangar Dance is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 10, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Pearson Air Museum. U.S. and Allied World War II uniforms and period dress are welcome but not required. Music will be provided by VanPort Jazz Band. A no-host bar is sponsored by Grant House. Tickets are $25 per person and are available at the Friends Shop at the Fort Vancouver Visitor Center, 1501 East Evergreen Blvd. and online, here. This is one of the primary fundraisers for the Friends of Fort Vancouver, and proceeds benefit education programs at the site.
Clark County Historical Museum “Mashfest 2018”.
Vancouver’s 15th “Mashfest” is coming up Sunday, January 28th, 2018 this time held at the Courtyard of the Vancouver Marketplace. (Entrance is between the Java House and Jorge’s Tequila Factory, 210 West Evergreen Blvd,Vancouver, WA 98660)
Mashfest starts at 2:00 PM, and ends shortly after 5:00 PM.
Mashfest is a “Homebrewers” festival, where 15 homebrewers will be pouring free samples of the beer they have made at home. As an attendee, you get to taste their beer and discuss with the brewers how they made the beer. You then get to vote for your favorite beer, determining which brewers get the cool prizes!
As per Washington law (passed with the assistance of homebrewers in 2008), this event is by invitation only, we are NOT allowed to sell tickets at the door on the day of the event.
You must be 21 to attend, sorry, no children or pets.
Tickets are $17.50 per person, and you can pick up your tickets at Bader Beer & Wine Supply (711 Grand Blvd) Loowit Brewing Company (507 Columbia)or you can buy them online at Brown Paper Tickets.
Proceeds of Mashfest Winter 2018 go to The Clark County Historical Museum.

Friends of Ft. Vancouver 1950s Swing Dance
Dance fans – mark your calendar and dust off your saddle shoes!! The Friends of the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site is hosting a 1950s Swing Dance at Pearson Air Museum (1115 E. Fifth Street, Vancouver, WA 98661) on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 7:00-10:00pm. Though you don’t need to dress in vintage 1950s era clothing – it is definitely welcome. Music is provided by the VanPort Jazz Band. There is a no host bar. Ticket sales are limited; all tickets will be sold in advance (no tickets at the door). Tickets are $30 each – available here. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the Bookstore at the Visitor Center (1501 E. Evergreen Boulevard, Vancouver, WA 98661) during Shop hours.
Proceeds benefit education and programs at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. See you there!
