Save the date – the Veteran Benefit Expo is July 27!

The Fifth Annual Veteran Benefit Expo, the state’s largest veteran resource event, will be held in eastern Oregon for the first time this summer. Join us on Saturday, July 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pendleton Convention Center!

The purpose of the event is to provide a one-stop shop for Oregon veterans of all eras and walks of life to learn about and access the full range of their earned benefits. The Expo offers resources from many different benefit areas, including health care, claims assistance, finance, home loans, long-term care, mental health, education, business and recreation.

We’re looking for government or nonprofit agencies to participate and we also welcome for-profit companies as part of the Veteran Career Fair. Interested organizations may register online athttps://www.surveymonkey.com/r/orvetexpo19. There is no cost to participate, but space is limited, so please register as soon as possible to reserve your space!

The annual Expo is organized by the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs and is hosted in different locations throughout the state. This year’s event is being presented in partnership with Oregon Lottery, a longtime supporter of causes important to Oregonians, including public education, the environment and the veteran community.

You’re invited to join VA staff & special guests to learn valuable information about Long Term Care on Sept. 11, 2018, at Portland VA Medical Center from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Come learn how the VA can help you.

Wondering how to pay for care?
Considering in-home care or assisted living?
Are you and your family planning for the future or wondering how the VA can help if you’re a veteran?

If you’re a Veteran or a family member of a Veteran, then please join us on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Portland VA Medical Center Auditorium located on the second floor at 3710 SW U.S. Veterans Hospital Rd., Portland, OR 97239.

The VA Portland Health Care System will be holding a resource event to assist Veterans, caregivers, families, and community members navigate the long term care planning process and will share information about eligibility for VA services. The fair will provide resources and speakers featuring topics such as in-home care, dementia care, adult day programs, hospice care, care facilities, and much more.

The Long Term Care Fair will have a special segments on music therapy, offer on site chair massages, and provide refreshments for attendees.
